Privacy Policy

This is the controlHub privacy policy. It explains what controlHub (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the commitments we make about your code. We've written it in plain language; if anything is unclear, ask us.

The short version

• By default your code is never used to train AI models — any data-sharing is explicit and opt-in.
• Your data is never shared with or visible to other customers, and we don't sell it.
• Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest and isolated to your account.
• You can export or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• Account information — your name, email, and organization name.
• Content you upload — PLC and robot programs, drawings, photos, notes, and the data parsed from them.
• Usage and diagnostics — basic logs needed to operate the service, troubleshoot issues, and meter AI usage.

How we use it

We use your information solely to provide the service: to store and index your programs, generate overviews and answers when you ask, track versions, maintain your support log, and keep your account secure. We do not use your content for advertising.

Your code and intellectual property

The code, drawings, and notes you upload remain entirely yours. We process them only to answer your questions and run the features you use. By default we don't use your content to train machine-learning models. Some early-access customers opt into a data-sharing arrangement that lets controlHub learn from their code; that only ever happens with your explicit, written agreement. We never share your content across customers or sell it.

AI processing

To generate overviews and answers, relevant portions of your content are sent to our AI provider under terms that prohibit retention and model training on your data. The provider returns a result to us, we show it to you, and that is the end of the lifecycle.

Storage, security, and location

Your files and the parsed index are held in encrypted cloud storage, tied to your account and isolated from other customers. Access is restricted and audited — we do not browse customer code. The only software that can run inside your network is the optional Connector, and only if you choose to install it.

Data retention

We keep your content while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, and we'll delete your workspace and its contents on request or after account closure, subject to any backups that age out on a normal cycle.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share data only with the service providers needed to run controlHub — for example our cloud host and our AI provider — each bound to handle it confidentially and only on our instructions. We never sell your data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information. Email us and we'll help.

Cookies

We use only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers.
